GUTTER is out! I’m so proud to share this project that I had the privilege of directing. It’s been an unforgettable experience working alongside so many talented individuals who made this vision a reality. Huge shoutout to @sydneystrock for trusting me to bring this to life, and to the incredible team of editors, PAs, crew, and talent who helped every step of the way. Grateful for the experience and excited to share this with you all! LINK IN BIO ⭐️⭐️ #director #musicvideos #filmmaking #cinematography #shortfilm

After a year of waiting, I’m excited to announce the release of my short film Feliz a Cumpleaños ⭐️ LINK IN BIO ⭐️ Feliz Cumpleaños - After a difficult move from Mexico and financial strain, single mother Carmen’s determination to give her son Samuel a memorable 10th birthday is challenged when their budget falls short. As they navigate disappointment and resentment, they discover the true value of love and sacrifice. As a director, my primary objective is to share my experiences and amplify the voices of my community. Growing up in the United States with a single immigrant mother presented significant challenges, but it profoundly shaped the individual I am today. I am deeply appreciative of my mother’s unwavering sacrifices and the opportunity to recount my story, which I hope will resonate with others and provide a genuine portrayal of Latinos, challenging the prevalent stereotypes. During my childhood, I often failed to comprehend the struggles and sacrifices my mother endured. As a child, it is natural to overlook the arduous efforts and the immense stakes involved. I wish to share not only my personal experience but also the experiences of other Latinos in the United States who have faced similar challenges. My films serve as a tribute to my mother, my community, and as a means of highlighting and sharing our authentic identity with the world. -Angel Rodriguez Writer & Director: @angelshmood Director of Photography: @wizminders Producer: @payton_m_hall Cast: Carmen: Deisy Mariana Rodriguez Samuel: Sebastian Vazquez Crew: Production Designer: @na_mjane Sound Recordist: @ssseeeppphhh Script Supervisor: @itsjustsanti_b Sound Mixer: Evan Dunivan Boom Operator: @sarahcolegrovefilms Assistant Camera: @nacantu Assistant Camera: @adoniaszzzz Composer: Blake Murray BTS Photographer: @sofia.alejandroo Production Assistant: @jaedynbr Production Assistant: lonniedhaney Special Thanks: Los Vaqueros Supermercado Montero Mobile Home Service #shortfilm #shortfilms #drama #mexico #immigration #border #texas #immigrants #latinx #losangeles #losangeles #filmmaking #filmmaking #latino #immigrantparents #cinematography

Cierro Los Ojos is more than a film to me. It’s a love letter to my mother. A poetic journey through grief, sacrifice, and immigration, this story follows my mother’s path to the U.S. after losing her father, carrying pain while still fighting for a brighter future for our family. This film exists because of her vulnerability, her strength, and the love she has given me my entire life. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my dreams, and allowing me to tell a story inspired by your journey. You are the best mother I could ever ask for. Everything I’m pursuing, every film, every late night, every risk, is for us. Happy Mother’s Day mamá. Te amo. ❤️🫶🏻 #cinematography #shortshorts #filmmaking

2025 changed me in real ways. I moved to LA and nothing came easy. A lot happened fast and some moments hit hard. I learned through pressure and kept working through doubt. I met people, earned opportunities, and saw growth even on rough days. 25’ pushed me, shaped me, and taught me discipline. I will keep showing up and giving everything I have! ⭐️🫶🏻
