We are pleased to present 𝘍𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, the first UK solo exhibition by Chicago born, London based artist Russell Perkins, opening Thursday April 30 from 6 – 8 pm. His practice examines the increasing financialization of culture, considering how risk, precarity, and economic imperatives register at the level of the individual. Engaging with the logics of prediction and control, Perkins adopts the aesthetics of administration to explore how speculation operates on visual, sonic, and spatial registers. Across the exhibition, political and financial structures are restaged as systems of belief, sustained by a desire for stability in the face of an uncertain future. - Russell Perkins 𝘱𝘨 10, 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴, 2023-26 Digital print on neobond, sound, aluminium frame 152 × 101 × 3 cm ______ @angelshampoo - Special thanks to collaborators, supporters and friends: @theelephanttrust @t.m.hoangnguyen @david.gobber @taz.munyaneza @charlieculbert

📍East @public.gallery For the sixth edition of London Gallery Weekend, Public Gallery is pleased to present two exhibitions: ❶ Shaniqwa Jarvis, ‘Only Love Will Break Your Heart’, 30 April — 7 June The first UK solo exhibition by the New York born, Los Angeles based artist. Through floral motifs, layered compositions, and reflective surfaces, the exhibition attends to traces of grief, memory, and loss while foregrounding questions of spectatorship. Central to the exhibition is a sustained interrogation of the material condition of the photographic image. ❷ Russell Perkins, ‘Fear of Falling’, 30 April — 7 June The first UK solo exhibition by the Chicago born, London based artist. Perkins’ practice examines the increasing financialization of culture, considering how risk, precarity, and economic imperatives register at the level of the individual. @angelshampoo Images : 2.
