Lol K – the duo of CJ Calderwood and Junior XL – return with a live performance celebrating the release of their second album, Languid Haunt the Trees.
The album continues their exploration into the sonic worlds of experimental South London nightclubs, drawing from the textures and pulse of the city’s nocturnal culture, reimagining them through a palette of dark acoustic and orchestral instrumentation. The result is a hallucinatory sonic world – haunted by omen, restless poltergeists and psychic ritual – where dancefloor intensity dissolves into spectral ambience.
On December 3rd at @ormsideprojects Lol K will be joined by Rael & angelicaa

HeadDirt8 is a celebration of tattoo culture today, a lens on needle and ink traditions seeping through cracks and corners of modern existence in the most mundane and dreamlike ways. Matthew Keegan has done the majority of angelicaa’s tattoos at @newlanguage_ studios in East London. Inspired by these intimate and collaborative exchanges, HeadDirt8 aims to capture the fun, precious and truly obscure ritual of getting tattooed and how we think about tattoos in the world.
Matthew’s segment which opens the show centres around found texts on tattooing, or passages from tattoo magazines, that Matthew has worked into performances, folding in diaristic antidotes and work stolen from favourite works of fiction. Weaved in are a mix of songs around these readings, for their tone but should also be heard for the usefulness of their lyrics in considering the theme of Tattoo.
angelicaa has created an audio collage featuring tattoo stories from peers and past guests, YouTube video excerpts, interviews, tracks and original guitar music. Thanks to @3rl_fantasy@comic_ans@charles_verni@sophiamalook@emergingora@wolfiewright@jarhil for their tattoo stories

HeadDirt7 was created and recorded at Tuo Tuo (Joutsa, Finland) while both artists were in residence during the Midsummer period in 2023. angelicaa and Florence Warner have come together to create a mostly tape cassette recorded edition of the series. Having both grown up with cassettes as a first playable form of music and making tapes in childhood themselves, they have reconnected with this format for radio. Interwoven are sounds from the Finnish landscape of forests and lakes, and excerpts of a budding collaboration, with a focus on hardware experimentation. Featuring a demo and tape heavy selection of shared musical inspiration from other artists, HeadDirt7 is also an ode to the demo as an essential ritual, celebrating the initial feeling, idea and intimacy that occurs when creating music.
