Is it kooky for us to make a Valentineโ€™s Day hoodie? Probably. But, in our estimation, the world sure could use a bit of love, joy, and color right now. Whether gifting yourself or someone else, be the light, and let love in. This Valentineโ€™s Day, drop into the ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—˜๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฆ๐—ธ๐˜† ๐—•๐—น๐˜‚๐—ฒ & ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฒ, featuring ๐——๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ. Hot Tip: If you wind up being the winner, we recommend getting the next size up for a swaggy, comfort fit. For example, if you wear size Medium, order size Large. At the far end of the very same building where Dan Brisse made history with his parking structure gap, was this shorter, equally high stakes spot. After overshooting the landing, he went back to lace this one too for the closing segment of NowHere. As seen in our latest issue November 2025 Issue 5.2 โ€” Back In My Day | Lucas Hufman, Grizzly Gulch, UT. April 2000 // photo & words: Andy Wright This is a sick one. @andywrightphoto has a full length break down in the mag and youโ€™ll have to subscribe to read it all. โ€œSince that day, the trick list thatโ€™s been compiled on this jump is something we would have laughed at the idea of 25 years ago (front double 12 tailgrab by Jared Elston, WTF!) But there was a considerable amount of time before this day when just the idea of hitting something this size would have elicited the same laughter. That was until @huffmanstudio showed up.โ€ THANK YOU @andywrightphoto for the BACK IN MY DAY feature. There in each issue of Volume 5. Issue 5.2 shipping now. Subscribe today!

As seen in our latest issue October 2025 Issue 5.1 โ€” Back In My Day | Jason Brown, Brighton UT, 1998 p: Andy Wright โ€œFoot plants, Burton step-in bindings, Brighton, shooting film. While those four details could be describing a day of documenting snowboarding in 2025, this was 1998. The foot had been freed from the bindings on a number of occasions before this, but maybe not outside of a halfpipe or quarterpipe, and never for a plant on an object. While not for everyoneโ€”then and even nowโ€”there was a sizable contingency of riders pursuing anything and everything that paid homage to skateboarding. Some of it translated, some didnโ€™t. In the years since, there have been many who have cracked the code on bringing a skateboarding aesthetic to the mountain, but at that time, few did it better than Jason Brown. His mark on snowboarding was great, and much more far-reaching than a bag of tricks, but this moment served as inspiration for more than a few notable riders from the generation to follow.โ€ @andywrightphoto r: @as_the_ceiling_flew_away ISSUE 5.1 now available to buy online, at out our paper trail retailers, and readable on the app. Subscribe to Volume 5 to get this issue and the next 3 ๐Ÿ“ฌ Shipping now!

If you have ever considered taking your snowboard photography to next level, the annual @slushthemagazine x @highcascade Photo Workshop @hcscphotoworkshop is the quickest and most comprehensive program for doing just that! This 6-day intensive course is taught by 3 veteran lensmen of the snowboard industry @andywrightphoto @fotomaxizoomdweebie @bacha.photo who will share their collective 60+ years of shooting to give you all you need (and more) to take your photos from pedestrian to professional. Our day begins early in the classroom at the base of Mt Hood, OR before we head up to Timberline Resort for on-hill shooting in the terrain park with some of the worldโ€™s best riders. We help you find the angles, select the best settings and all that goes into capturing the perfect moment. Each evening we return to the classroom to review and critique the days photos. Our class also features a deep-dive into Lightroom the practices pros use for both editing and managing photos. There are just a few spots left in this yearโ€™s class. Dates are June 22-28, 2025. All you need to do is fly to Portland, OR and youโ€™ll be picked up there for the week. Weโ€™d love to have you join us. Link is in the bio. Please feel free to DM with any questions. Hope to meet you next month!

#OTD 20 years ago! January 31, 2005 Blue Lakes, near Kirkwood, CA @darrell_mathes @17is @etienne_gilbert ๐ŸŽฅ @justineeles Filming for BURNING BRIDGES and posting up at The Block at night. My first year shooting digital, but I didnโ€™t fully trust it yet so I brought the film camera along too. My favorite shot from that day was of Mikey on film. (Iโ€™ll save that for another post once I scan it. I wouldnโ€™t advise holding your breath waiting for that one). This may or may not be the day Etienne landed a trick and rode up to the crew at the bottom proclaiming โ€œLast part for the Gilby!โ€
