The best part about living somewhere new is having a whole new set of wonderful places to discover and explore.
Had a lovely wander through the bluebells at Dockey recently and just had to share some snaps. I’ve never seen a forest floor so blue. Photos definitely do not do it justice!

Last month, after what felt like a never-ending journey, and having learned way more than we ever wanted to about spray foam installation and the UK probate system, we finally picked up the keys to our new home.
There’s lot of work to be done, but can’t wait to get cracking and make it our own. Starting as we mean to go on with a (slightly too bright?) front door.
Ever since I was little I dreamed of being a zookeeper, and while life may have gone in a different direction, I’ll always find that same joy and happiness when surrounded by all of the weird and wonderful critters of the world.
This is a little flashback from my Zoo Keeper for the Day experience at @colchester_zoo earlier this year gifted by the lovely team at Jacksons Lane.
Getting the chance to get up close and personal with sea lions, penguins, geladas, tigers, aardvark, giraffes, rhinos, and even a hungry little Pygmy hippo was a real treat and gave me a real chance to live that childhood dream, even if it was just for a day. 🦭🐧🐒🐅🐕🦒🦏🦛

Ed & Michael getting hitched in Slovenia was the perfect excuse for a holiday, and what a beautiful place to explore. Getting married in Bled Castle overlooking the lake was just the cherry on top.
After having been spammed with adverts for this for months finally made it down to the SOIL exhibition at @somersethouse . Lovely chance to nerd out about all things mud. 🌍

Had a smashing time trying my hand at blacksmithing a few weeks back with the lovely Kelly. Even managed to make a pair of my own scissors for the allotment, swipe to see the very first snip!

Dear Jacksons Lane. So, the time has at last come for us to part ways and I just wanted to say a big thank you. Thank you for the laughter, the tears, the good times and the ‘What the f*** is going on?’ times. I’ll even cherish that time that I had to drive a lorry full of pianos across Haringey when one nearly fell out the back on the North Circular.
The past six years have been an absolute whirlwind, but I’ve loved every second. I’ve met so many amazing people, learnt all sorts of new things and made friends for life. This wasn’t a job I ever expected to stumble into, but it had really become a second home to me and was a real constant throughout many stressful and difficult times. I can’t quite explain how much it means to be, but I’m certainly going to miss it and all the people hugely. However, now it’s time for a new adventure!
p.s. Please be nice to the new guy, and try not to have a leak/flood/fire in their first week.
