First week of school down! Thrilled to have started a masters program in Choral Conducting at CSU Long Beach (under the direction of @jonathantalberg ) So far everything has been going a bit TOO well. Here are a couple highlights:
- My conducting cohort and all of the faculty have been super cool
- I passed my placement exams for both music theory and history
- I’m singing in the chamber choir and the sound on day one was pretty mind blowing. These kids can sing!
- I am directing a Tenor/Bass ensemble called Cantus and we were able to recruit close to 20 guys into the group. Predictably, already having a blast.
I’m going to have to write research papers soon at which point I’ll be having less fun, but for now, things are starting off pretty great!
I’m probably way too late to this party but I’ve been arranging a ton of #beyonce the last few weeks and hadn’t posted a singing video in a while. Enjoy the intro to #americanrequiem from #cowboycarter!
