17 years, a whole lot of different looks for both of us, and somehow you’ve still stuck around through the horses, farm projects, wigs, and every “I’ve been thinking…” idea I’ve ever had.
@andychabot I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky, but I’m really glad I found my person. Thank you for always being willing to jump into whatever adventure, project, or chaos comes next with me.
Here’s to more champagne and less fence fixing, more miles together and fewer apart, more laughing, more living, and a whole lot more love with a little less busyness. Happy Anniversary, my love!
Thank you to @jhfoodandwine for a memorable weekend!
The Blind Pinot Noir tasting was all about curiosity, conversation, and letting the wines speak for themselves.
And lastly a special shout out to @peayvineyard and @andychabot ! It is always a joy when we get to collaborate with each other.
Until next time!

Willard.
My Grandfather sold a lot of horses— mostly anything that could pull a cart and mostly Belgian draft horses. But he only had a few names for them —- Mo, Duke, Joe, Bo, etc. So when Papaw passed and his last team moved to Blackberry Farm for the poshest of equine retirements, we weren’t opposed to the team naming them “Willard” and “Abbott” in his honor.
Willard and Abbott’s last real gig was our wedding in 2009. And they had a pretty easy life at my grandparent’s farm and then moved to Blackberry in 2015 where they had an endless supply of apples from the kitchen and pats from guests and team. Willard lived on past Abbott and during 2020, he moved for his second retirement to our farm with an easy rolling pasture, a few other retirees and morning grain and alfalfa and really found his official person—- Andy.
Willard and Andy had a bond all of us horse people wish for—- the kind where ears perk up when they hear your voice, always willing to come to and come with, and a simple softness and acknowledgement. Willard tolerated me.
Over the last five years, he became a part of our regular routine- we got up and fed Willard by letting him in from the big pasture into a smaller barn lot. Andy would brush and groom him while he ate then we worked the garden or went on a run in time to “let the boys out” before going to work. We’d come home and at night we would go out for his “Willie Treat” which consisted of German Horse Cookies and an equioxx.
He was a big part of our family for decades and in so many ways. Today at 36 we said our final goodbyes. With older horses, it’s not unexpected, but it also wasn’t.
Thank you, Willard.
Between work and traveling for events this year, @sarahchabot@pandrechabot and I have been cycling a fair amount to prepare once again for @pelotonia in Columbus, OH this August! Through this amazing cycling event, we (the Blackberry Farm Team and other teams) raise money to support life-saving cancer research. 100% of the money donated goes to this cause and this year if you are willing to donate to my fund, I will match your donation - it’s that important to me. Here is the link which is also in my bio /profile/AC0239 #endcancer #pelotonia
We love celebrating people we adore! Congratulations to Maya and Carlton on a beautiful weekend!
We had the best time just relaxing and enjoying the city, people and a slow schedule!

We had a great few days cycling in Burgundy with the @biketocareenbourgogne US team raising money for the @sommelierscholarship - we also squeezed in a little extra running, dining, and tasting with old and new friends! A big thanks to @biketocareenbourgogne@louisjadot for supporting the ride this year with great routes and lunches along the way! #thisisnotarace @lapaulee
The new baby FINALLY arrived! So happy it’s here and healthy and flashy! We’ve been keeping an eye on momma for a while and we’re a bit worried, but both are in good shape! #elderslastlapranch #longhorncattle
