NEKOMATA’s powercore - now refined ✨
Last Saturday it was so much fun to jump and play in one of the best venues of our country, for a night dedicated to the underground metalcore sound and its different nuances!
Also, it was for us the “Live 0” with the new line up: unsurprisingly the total chemistry was already there, and we feel like we’ve been playing together since forever
Thanks to all the staff involved, all the bands and musicians we shared the stage with and first and foremost who was singing EUPHORIA’s songs with us - next stop La Cripta, 29 May w/ Opal In Sky, from Canada 🇨🇦

NEKOIII Guitar recordings Peek 1 ✨🎸
The guitar works on our upcoming album took a few days of prepping, before, full immersions playing, after, during a few weeks timespan. This time Andy’s choice went on a new model from Ibanez Guitars, the Alpha A527, that pushed his sonic possibilities to the next level.
Pristine clean tone single coiled arpeggios, harsh glassy groove, full blown up Neko-style tight rhythmic sections and even more cutting edge guitar soloes.
NEKOIII will feature even more nuances and color to the Nekomata’s palette of sounds.
The title (that will be unveiled at due time) is definitely describing the new refined version of Nekomata’s sound.
What you loved from the first 2 albums, now refined a cranked up to 11.

“Hi guys, this is the Studio Updaaaaate……I don’t know
(Me from the future says Studio Update Number 1!)
because technically speaking this recording session, with the drums, we are having is the last one.
Luckily social media is not a real place, so we can do as first the first that are going to be shown last!
Today is Sunday, and we have finished our drums recording.
Actually, our new drummer have recorded the ENTIRETY of the new albums drums in just half a day on Saturday (and THESE are the only problems that a musician should bring to the table) so today we are shooting a few playthroughs!
More updates will follow soon, the album is coming together amazingly, but in this case it’s literally the bartender praising the wine.
You’ll let us about this when it will be out.

“Life lately, writing music playing guitar with ぐでたま”
In the last couple of months I found myself totally immersed in what will be NEKOMATA’s third album, almost completely off the SNS grid, focus on making the best music possible so much so I still did not have had the chance to properly demo this beauty mommy @officialibanezguitars sent me.
What a shame!
This Ibanez ALPHA A527 will be the center stage of my sonic strategy for this new album and the evolution of the NEKO-sound, providing a versatility I’ve never experienced so far in composition.
From crystal-clean landscape clean arpeggios and cutting edge solos to one of the fattest chugs I’ve ever played.
Also to the always-most-important-question “yes but, does it djent???!” -> we have undeniable proof here
