After twenty years teaching at the School of Architecture, University of Nottingham I have now ‘retired’.
Over this time there have been many students with whom it’s has been pleasure and honour to know, and if young people like them are given the opportunity, the future for all of us will be okay…

A beautifully produced book that features the work Francis showed at Solstice Arts earlier in the year and will be included as part his representation of San Marino Republic at the forthcoming Venice Biennale.

It is often the case that the more sophisticated and meaningful painting arises out of the simplest of means and intentions. Subtle contemplative mark making executed with diligence and careful restraint. Engaging without needing to make purpose overly evident.

The pigments which make up McCausland’s colours are sourced from post-industrial landscapes found in Wales, Scotland and England. The chemically altered byproducts of quarrying, mining and polluted water treatment.
