Coffee and pastry fit check at @localetucson The shorts are vintage Oscar de la Renta! …because he designed them for the Boy Scouts back in 1980, which I learned from @edgyalbert Only 30 bucks!

Chilling at a coffee shop with a hot latte is one of my favorite pastimes, and @localetucson with its Italian pastries is one of my favorite Tucson places to do it

Hark! And gaze upon my new card of greeting that will soon join the other Medieval-inspired cards I illustrated for @ratherkeen For this design I considered how a Medieval healer might approach the “get well soon” card.

Another Medieval greeting card to mail to thy merry fellows. I illustrated this to look like a Medieval woodblock print. The 15th century prints of Chaucer’s pilgrims by Richard Pynson were especially helpful.

Behold! I illustrated three book-loving adventurers to make hologram vinyl stickers for my bookish accessories brand @ratherkeen . When I was a kid my sticker collection included some hologram D&D character stickers. I didn’t really know who they were, but I thought those fantasy guys were so cool. I’m pleased to have created my own adventure party with this set🧙🏼‍♂️

If you ask me, @eltorerorestaurant has the best small biz merch hat in town. The retro script font! The abundance of embroidered words! The tuna on the side! Olive and orange—what a color combo!

Next, we hiked the echo canyon loop, full of cool hoodoos, followed by bday hotdog dinner. Unfortunately, both our phones were completely dead for our 4h Sunday hike into the heart of the rock structures!! The most notable and distinct features of the park :( So I guess that was a lesson in being present and unplugged :( But also a lesson in bringing a better charger! All in all, I’m so grateful to have had this time in such a special place, and for my health and ability to explore this terrain, and for the opportunity for both personal reflection and partner connection 💗✌️ PROTECT THE NATIONAL PARKS SERVICE.
