John Lewis and I wrote RUN after MARCH to help people understand the backlash to the Voting Rights Act and the long term fight to destroy it. The paperback edition coming out a week before the nail in the coffin was struck is too much. We always knew we were in a race against time.

Grateful for the opportunity to judge and present the LA Times Book Prize in History to Bench Ansfield for "Born in Flames: The Business of Arson and the Remaking of the American City," as well as seeing @amytanwriter accept her well deserved Robert Kirsch Award for lifetime achievement.
@prestonb_nc and @andrewaydin did an incredible job organizing folks for a porch hang and q&a session on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in the mountains. So honored and excited that folks took time out of their weekend to come by and engage in chats about local issues with us.
