Introducing Andreu Carulla, one of the creative minds behind 'Inspired in Barcelona: Materia prima'
A Catalan industrial designer based in Banyoles, Carulla (
@andreucarulla ) is known for an approach that blends experimentation, craftsmanship, and a deep sensitivity to materials, working from his studio founded in 2006 on projects ranging from furniture and lighting to tableware, spaces, and creative direction. His practice is rooted in the constant exploration of materials and processes to create timeless objects that balance functionality, sustainability, and formal expression, engaging in dialogue with landscape, craft, and Mediterranean culture.
For 'Inspired in Barcelona: Materia prima', he presents a taste experience, a space in which visitors can play with olive oil, create their own auroras and conclude the journey by tasting a bread specially designed to be soaked in olive oil.
→ 'Inspired by Barcelona: Materia prima' is the installation that transforms the creative process into a sensory journey, exploring creativity through bread and olive oil as metaphors for balance in design.
