I didn’t see this moment coming, but I’ve always envisioned moments like it in my head.
I started this life in dance, but when I started my artistic journey was in 2012, in the theater🎭. I knew I had the creativity & the talent, but I was taught in those rehearsals & those classes that a lot of people have that.
I learned my WHY is going to be what pushes me past my own talents. To discover that, I needed to explore & have life experiences to understand my WHY.
Since 2012, in New Orleans, I have been & grown as a dancer, actor, editor, videographer, model, & photographer
@andresnapped 📸.
All those different mediums & the lives that I have lived, I have learned, MOST IMPORTANTLY, in EVERY room I walk in is
I MUST BE myself FOR ME,
BE INTENTIONAL, BE PASSIONATE, & have the tunnel vision to see outside my reality & my circumstances.
I have to walk, do the work, & believe what God has for me is past the people who don’t believe in me.
With that, everything, from opportunity to community will align itself, & it’ll match my vision.
NOW, through all of my circumstances & through all of my hard work,
I am represented as a photographer in this moment at the Louisiana Contemporary Ogden Museum of Southern Art, but also today as a full performance artist & cultural storyteller in all of my existence, in my calling.
I have so much work I’m creating and directing by ANY medium necessary, & what a better time to be displayed in my hometown. ❤️⚜️
