Orchestra players and contemporary composers from Norway and Slovakia delve into dusty archives, uncovering forgotten melodies and bringing old music into a new era. Four short portraits of musicians explore the challenges of interpreting historical material and the creative process, while also offering intimate reflections on the desire to break free from the passage of time. This playful film, shot on 16mm film stock, captures the limits of records, both musical and cinematographic, inviting reflection on music as something that transcends us.

Lucia “Pretty Beast” Krajčovič is a 34-year-old professional MMA* fighter and a mother of two. Despite recently giving birth, she is determined to be a champion at both. With her newborn in her arms, she prepares for the first fight after her pregnancy. Sleep-deprived and exhausted, she slowly crumbles under the immense pressure of her two identities. The question that once had an obvious answer takes over her. Is it possible to be both pretty and a beast? And for how much longer?

When a train driver spots someone who wants to commit suicide he can’t do much else than to pull the break and close his eyes. In split seconds it is decided what will the train driver dream about and how it will affect his mental health. The film follows observes how four train drivers deal with these traumatic events.
