19. mai på Kafé Hærverk i regi av @blow_out_oslo spiller jeg med et nytt duoprosjekt med fantastiske Andrea Parkins på elektronikk! Jeg og Andrea møttes første gang i Berlin i et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Trondheim Jazzorkester og Splitter Orchestra, og fant fort ut at vi ville spille sammen i et mindre format. Dieses Mal mit 96 Konzerten an 50 verschiedenen Orten von über 300 Hamburger Musiker:innen und internationalen Gästen. 31 Tage und Nächte lang lädt blurred edges zum musikalischen Trip quer durch die Stadt.
Tickets gibt es an allen Veranstaltungsorten an der Abendkasse. Für durchlässigere Grenzen sind viele Konzerte kostenfrei oder auf Spendenbasis.

Lorie passed away on March 22, 2026 in Pittsburgh. She grew up in Pittsburgh, and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she received BA and Master of Education degrees. Beginning in the mid-1950s and for the next nearly 50 years, she lived with our father Arthur and eventually all three of us children outside of the city in a beautiful house in the woods. Lorie never quite landed on a single metier; she studied piano well into adulthood, composed torch songs, taught high school, was an insurance agent, co-ran a catering business and eventually became a property manager. Lorie had a strong intellect, and was a deep and critical reader of literature. She loved all sorts of music and was an adventurous listener. Our mother was politically active, and a supporter of progressive causes, especially concerning reproductive rights. (She worked for every left-leaning Democratic presidential candidate who — other than George McGovern -- never received the party’s nomination.) Lorie was a vivacious conversationalist and possessed a healthy ironic wit. She was an incredible cook who loved to entertain— there were parties! Mom had a fantastic sense of style, and was a beauty, too.
With thanks to our mother's caregivers for their kindness and attention, and especially to my sister Lisa who was by Lorie’s side during her final five months. Deep thanks also to my brother Roland and his partner Iromie for all of their efforts to keep Mom well and happy and at home.

Andrea Parkins :: The Stray, Variation 3 (for 8 channels) is an electroacoustic composition through which Parkins highlights and implicates correspondences (or ruptures) that take place between gesture, sound and space; and embodied tensions between attempt and fluency.
Teya Weir x ADVIKA x Ophelia :: Imprints, Eternal sees the listener as a spectator – taken through vignettes of a House that’s been long abandoned. However, affects of its storied past poke through a dense soundscape of creaking wood and rotting foundation. Each movement of the piece serves as a different room where keen listeners can hear the story of the House as a revenant – a place once full of humanity, levity, anger, and grief.
Diane Barbe (She/They) :: The piece Signe Singe, composed in the autumn of 2025, develops from a very old question: how do we know that a thunderstorm is a thunderstorm, an owl an owl, and a flute a flute? Between the forms emerging from the analog circuits of 1960s and 70s synthesizers and the voices hidden in the breath of wind instruments made by the composer, Signe Singe asks whether these sounds, too, “came from the earth.”
