this period of my life is something i do not talk about a lot my dad was going through one of his biggest life transitions caused by diabetes in which he lost half of his leg and would later on lose half of his other foot - all of this while i was unable to leave the country (bc i was undxcumented) to go see him so i had to fight this battle with him through the phone this was my introduction to adulthood if i’m honest it changed me i now prioritize a healthy body and mind and a group of people that love me and a business that i am excited by and that i have fun in over the billion dollar unicorn and over the networking events that drain me i now know what is important i cannot believe that my older brother and my mother had to deal with all of this on their own back home i am just so grateful for Panama and its medical care that was able to save my dad especially the hospital Santo Tomas even though this happened about 2-3 years ago it is something that i do not wish upon anybody especially in your early twenties when you are already overwhelmed by daily life and changes and identity shifts, shit was hard🥲 anyway, grateful we’re on the other side💛
