Behind the scenes from Wales Decides The Results 2026! What a day to be reporting on the Senedd. Thanks to Adrian Masters for capturing these. It’s impossible to get through 4.5 hours of live broadcasting without a snack bag under the news desk. Thank you to our guests Leanne Wood, Carwyn Jones, Stephen Crabb and the encyclopaedic stats man Jac Larner! That’s a wrap for 4 years. Proud to be trusted to be right at the heart of delivering the results on an historic day with a vastly changing political landscape in Wales @itvwales @itvcymruwales #electionday #historicelection

‘Best Fertility Book’ on the global stage of the @theeuropean.fertility.society awards! This is quite a surprise. I wasn’t able to make it to Paris and I’m so disappointed I couldn’t be there to receive this in person. And take a moment to mark the achievement. The award is for my memoir ‘Desperate Rants and Magic Pants: Our Fertility Story’ and to be recognised by a community which understands how complex infertility is both physically and emotionally, is quite special. The field of finalists and the work they are doing is humbling. Thank you to Carolyn Hodges my editor at @y_lolfa & @byrney15 for allowing me to share a story that was his as much as mine. Also for all those who spoke to me for the podcast stories in the book including @riamale and Fern Burrage-Male, @gabbylogan , @geoff_norcott , @clarenasir , Stephen Ashe @daniellebeattiethe1st , @them_ancave (who nudged me to enter this!) @nicci16b_ Teresa Cootes. Fertility journeys are diverse and multi-layered. And they are lonely. And that’s why I wrote the book. I felt alone. And with 1 in 6 couples experiencing infertility, the one positive thing I thought I could do is share the journey and the emotions. It feels desperate, yes. But it’s not shameful. If a friend, relative or someone you work with is going through something similar, read it! You might understand their struggle and behaviour a little more. Why they avoid pregnant colleagues in the corridor, why they make a quick exit when a baby is brought in to work, why they were ‘too busy’ for your baby shower, why they would try anything if it might mean their dream could come true. I don’t say as much as used to on the topic but I still carry those emotions. And think of those travelling that path now. And I think of the five lost and what might have been. #fertility #infertility #bestbook #miscarriage

Been putting off unboxing these books as it’s quite nerve racking seeing the story you gave out your heart and soul into, out there in print. But finally I managed it. Would love you to read it and help normalise the fertility conversation. So many are affected by it and it might help you, or it might help a friend, colleague or relative. Desperate Rants & Magic Pants. Put Oct 9th - but available at good bookshops to pre-order! #author #inprint #unboxing #firstbook #fertility #infertility #fertilityawareness #breakingtaboos @y_lolfa @byrney15 @fertilitynetworkuk
