Last August, @glaad and @jccruzchellew brought some of us to meet with Pope Francis. After an hour with queer and trans people from around the world in his private residence at the Vatican, Pope Francis wished us all the love and success we desire, and to keep fighting. His blessing upon us, while not casting any new light on who we know ourselves to be or what we know ourselves to deserve, may though change how others do. A gift he extended by cheerfully supporting that we share about our meeting. Pope Francis, may you rest in peace and your humility, generosity, and goodness reign beyond the physical time you served here. You’ll be missed by many; I one among them. 📸 @sorluciacaram

This is literally *my* Super Bowl. I love football. I love our comrades in culture change, especially you @josephine_martinez . I love my wife @katklein4ever being the baddest and goodest at her job, as a person, as a partner, and certifiable media baller. This was so much more than a game. It was a profound, beautiful and loud statement about a freer and more creative collective future. From @glaad ’s 5th Night of Pride with the @nfl to @gatorade ’s weeklong tailgate experience (now forever a loyal hydrator) to @adobe ’s NFL House, the road to the actual Super Bowl was memorable and then the Bad Bunny Benito Bowl made it historic. Hanging out with former @49ers coach Lindsy McLean was also a personal highlight, as was following around @theslaygawd as always. Congratulations to everyone on making it literally everything, and to my sobrano Alejandro who’s about to inherit all the Super Tazón swag…and hopefully the kind of future so many push and fight and never give up on actualizing like the Halftime show feat.

I believe movies save lives because it has mine over and over again. To celebrate the last Sundance in Park City bringing together some of the filmmakers who have invariably shaped my, Sundance, and our culture’s art, storytelling, and history was one of the highlights of my GLAAD career so far. To do it with friends, who I am also a fan, made it all the more memorable and special. Thanks for continuing to inspire and conspire for the future we all deserve, and the stories we must see to believe it.
