We are delighted to release our second album: It’s Always About Love, out today on
@GondwanaRecords .
It was recorded in April 2024 at The Nave Studio in Pudsey, Leeds. The album is partially inspired by a quote from Moor Mother: “It’s Always About Love. It’s Always About Liberation.”
We’re proud of what we’ve created and deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life. To contribute, even in a small way, to the lineage of sound and music, and to partake in the live ceremony of music (a unifying and healing force that reaches ears across the globe), is an honour we don’t take lightly. Letting creativity and togetherness have the last word feels more important than ever in the face of persistent inequality.
They want us divided, fighting each other, weakened, helpless, voiceless.
But music, art, and positive human connection represent the opposite of division.
These things have power. Music knows no borders, and we are in turn inspired by its boundless reach. In times when unjust conflict and suffering seek to silence voices.
We consider this album a great success, in the sense that we poured everything into it. We gave it our all, and we’re proud of the result. When we hear from fans who’ve had our music on repeat and who say it’s helped them out of difficult times, it really makes the whole process re-affirming. We need music for ourselves. It helps us grow as people. But those stories give us an even greater purpose: to keep creating music that helps people feel good, understood, and less alone.
We’re feeling deeply grateful for the further inspiration you’ve given us to make music, to spread unity and love, and to try to make this life on Earth better.
As tour dates start coming in, we’re gearing up as a band, and we cannot wait to hit the road, play for you all, and hear from you directly.
