Working on treatments for me is a very intense solo process, it starts with listening deeply to the music and translating what I feel into visuals. Most times I’ll loop the same song endlessly, to the point where it frustrates anyone around me lol but that repetition is what helps me connect to the emotion, the rhythm, the world inside the record… and from there, build a treatment that actually communicates and sells the idea with clarity. Here are a few slides from the treatment for Wonderful, and a quick screenshot of what the planning phase looks like for us at @anativeexperiment . Also, shoutout to @pale.ethos for already having photographs that contributed beautifully to this direction. He’s been working on an ongoing Kwagh-hir project centered on Tiv dance & storytelling — and it helped shape the visual language of this treatment in a real way

Had a great time working with @tayiwar on this. We went all the way to Makurdi for 3 days to film and the energy was unmatched. Tay is shining a light on Tiv culture, blending tradition with modern sound in a way that feels both rooted and forward-thinking. For the visuals, I wanted to give a modern take on Tiv culture, something that feels fresh and elevated, but still true to its essence. Culture isn’t just tradition, it’s rhythm, movement, and spirit. As a storyteller, it’s inspiring to work with artists who push creative boundaries and allow us to celebrate our culture, creating moments that honor where we’ve been while shaping where we’re going.
