Authentic experiences | Original sounds. Nature’s visitors. An inner-city sanctuary to slow down and immerse oneself in. Now a @RIBA Award–winning project, this urban retreat hotel designed by @ANARCHITECT in the heart of Sharjah oozes character and individuality. Framed by the city’s tower skyline and filled with birdsong from within the property, the architecture reveals a rare dialogue between calm and density, past and present. It was a pleasure to showcase the project in person to the RIBA Judges during the selection stage; sharing how adaptive reuse became a central design strategy, allowing contemporary interventions to merge gently with pre-existing layers. A careful balance that protects authenticity, culture and memory within one of the UAE’s most historically rich yet urban settings. Marie Claire Maison | “At The Lana Residences, Dorchester Collection, the award-winning studio @Anarchitect  transforms a 500-square-metre duplex into a home that speaks to individuality, art, and emotion.

In collaboration with @the_collectional , the studio orchestrated a selection of avant-garde and collectible design pieces - from @jeremymaxwellwintrebert , @laurids.gallee , and Nico Koronis, to timeless icons by @mariobelliniarchitects , Angelo Mangiarotti, and @antonio_citterio_arch . Each object forms part of an evolving dialogue between art and architecture.

Lighting, conceived with @ateliertrentetrois  , plays a pivotal role. More than a functional tool, it heightens the emotional landscape — spotlighting artworks, defining spatial rhythm, and drawing the eye through layers of shadow and reflection.

Through its quiet precision and curatorial depth, Lana Duplex marks a new chapter in Dubai’s design evolution — where branded living becomes not a formula, but a framework for self-expression.”

The Serai Wing, Bait Khalid Bin Ibrahim designed by @ANARCHITECT Shortlisted for @RIBA ’s inaugural Middle East Awards 2025 | The Royal Institute of British Architects has revealed the finalists for the inaugural Middle East Awards, showcasing the most transformative and socially impactful new architecture across the Gulf.  The shortlist brings together both regional and international architects from across the GCC, as well as the UK, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan. It showcases a diverse range of projects, from civic landmarks transforming city life, to innovative responses to climate change and biodiversity loss, adaptive reuse of historic buildings and bold new cultural destinations. ‘’Several projects reimagine heritage forms for today’s context. In Sharjah, The Serai Wing, Bait Khalid Bin Ibrahim by ANARCHITECT transforms two 1950s family homes, once owned by a pearl merchant into a boutique hotel, balancing preservation and cultural identity with contemporary design,’’ RIBA states.
