Here’s a little recap of our FIRST EVENT at Radio Rosewood! We had a sold-out event packed with new friends, prizes, and a community that supports DACA recipients in Texas. 🇲🇽🫶 Many of us grew up playing lotería with our family, but never really play outside of our homes. Anoche se sintio igual: conviviendo en el patio con la familia, jugando loteria hasta la noche. Special thanks go out to: ☕️ @radiorosewood for having us and being the first venue to support us! We’ll be back in two weeks for round two. <3 🍹 @drinkbawi for sponsoring the event. Thank you for bringing prize packs for our winners and providing Bawi-themed cocktails and mocktails for our guests. 💐 @rosieflorarentals for providing the BEAUTIFUL flower wall. Having a photo station where our new friends could take photos with their prizes and remember the fun times they had at our event was a dream come true! 🖼️ @anapeake_ for donating your fabulous cards and stickers as prizes for our guests! Everyone left with art that celebrates our latinidad and shared cultural experiences <3 Click the link in our bio to get tickets to our next event! ¡QUE VIVAN LOS INMIGRANTES! ¡QUE VIVAN LOS LATINOS! ¡AHI NOS VEMOS, RAZA! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 #loteria #daca #austin #atx #texas

Like Benito said, the only thing more powerful than hate is LOVE. This Saturday, 2.14, I, along with many other Latino owned brands, will be donating 100% of the profits from my shop to organizations uplifting immigrant communities. On this Day of Love, we’re choosing to show what love looks like in action. Standing together as people, as businesses, and as a unified community. Thank you to @rizoscurls and @kidsofimmigrants for organizing!

I wish I had something more poignant to say but alas, here we are. Just adding this to the grid so it’s clear where I stand. Now and always ❤️

So excited to share the cover of my next book, En el Jardín, coming 2026! I’ve always loved spending time in the garden, whether it was feeding the birds with my dad or planting seeds with Finn. And of course, my Big Grandma, Sulema Flores (yes, Flores!), was known for having the most colorful garden on her street. A garden is more than just grass and dirt. It’s a place to run free, grow food, and come together to celebrate all the joys of life, both big and small. 🪏🪴

It may be an economic blackout day, but consider shopping small instead! Everyday counts for small business owners and February is an especially slow month for many retailers. When you shop locally, your money goes straight back into your community. New art prints are now available in the shop! These prints are a reminder, despite the chaos erupting all around us, to dream big and continue building a world where everyone can be free. Our ability to dream and hope for a better future is our own form of resistance. A portion from each sale of these prints will be donated to the National Immigration Law Center. The @nilc is one of the leading advocacy organizations in the U.S. dedicated to advancing and defending the rights and opportunities of low-income immigrants and their loved ones. Visit nilc.org to learn more about their work. As always, order 6 items and get free shipping with code SHIPFREE.
