First Roll with Leica M6.
I used to think a camera like the Leica M6, at that price, was nice to have, but not really necessary… until I finally tried it.
Recently I switched my main camera from the Contax G1 to the Leica M6. There’s no doubt the G1 is a great camera, it lets you focus purely on capturing moments. I’ve shot more than 60 rolls with it. But after moving to Chicago and getting more into street photography, its small viewfinder and laggy autofocus started to become real pain points. That’s what led me to the Leica M6.
My first impression was its precision and the tactile shooting experience. Then there’s the convenience of zone focusing, it truly lets you just raise the camera and shoot. It might not be the perfect camera for everyone, but it fits my way of shooting perfectly. Looking forward to capturing more great moments with it.
