I recently returned to the Outer Banks after our wonderful first visit nearly a year ago. At the top of my list, I wanted to photograph morning light reflecting off the Oregon Inlet Station on transparency film. I hadn't used slide film before, but I visualized it that way, so I brought some Ektachrome E100 and hoped for good conditions.

While I was in Colorado filming a doc a few weeks ago with @wh1skysix , we visited the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs with the group of Vietnam Veterans we were interviewing. The museum is privately owned and features around 30 active and fully functional restored aircraft. The L-19 like the one at the end, is actually post WWII and used in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Spanish Peaks are two of my favorite mountains in Colorado. Rising out of the plains, they sit somewhat alone from the rest of the Rockies. As a kid I could see them from Colorado Springs over 100 miles away. They're also higher than any point in the US further east.

Last fall I took a trip out west to visit family and do some exploring. It had been several decades since I last visited Great Sand Dunes National Park, but it was well worth the brief day I was able to spend there. I hope to revisit again soon.
