Hiking Mt Cook expectations… and swipe over for the reality.
The climb to this view was 2,200 stairs straight up the mountain, and most of the way up was a mix of heavy wind, rain, and a few points of actual hail. When we reached the summit, we were fully inside a cold, wet cloud. Luckily we kept waiting to see if the view would come through, and as we were about to descend, the wind finally blew the cloud away and the whole mountain opened up to this absolutely insane view!

Champagne, cinema, and a theater decked out in awards-night energy. ✨ At the Oscars Watch Party at the @academymuseum , glasses of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne were flowing, and gowns were glittering, from the first pour to the final cheers, it was the kind of night that reminds you why we celebrate film the way we do - together, with great people and something exceptional in our glasses.
