Here’s an exclusive #SneakPeek of @tamafuji.honolulu ’s new, expanded space…opening tonight! They moved to the first floor of the Hee Hing Building in a bigger space — they hope reservations and walk-ins will be easier now, with 80 seats (double its previous capacity). Like their restaurants in Japan, they now have a chef counter so you can watch all the action while you eat. Mahalo to the owner, Taiji Nakanishi, who flew in from Japan for the opening!

The Deadwood-born actor opens up about navigating Hollywood as a hapa performer (“They said I didn’t look Japanese”) and seeking out roles that go beyond stereotype. “If they were giving me a character that was one-dimensional, I’d pass on it. If I was just a joke, I’d pass. But if the role had a personality … I could create a character.”
More than 200 roles later, Hill is still busier than ever. She currently stars on Amazon Prime’s Ballard, a spinoff of Bosch, where she dispenses wisdom as Maggie Q’s grandmother.
