when i was a kid, my dad told me that when he was young, his dad would get up early every christmas morning to volunteer at a soup kitchen near where they lived in south london, before returning home to celebrate christmas in the afternoon with his family. i thought this was the coolest and most selfless thing ever (and still do), the idea of doing something positive for people in your community that you don’t know.
from december 1st, I’ll be running a minimum of 5 kilometres every day for 31 consecutive days until the
end of 2025. i’ll be doing this to raise money for Hackney Foodbank, to make a small contribution to a massively important charity organisation in my borough, primarily funded by donations from the public, business fundraisers and The Hackney Foodbank Community Fund.
if we homies, please consider not buying me a pint when you see me over the festive period and donate that 6 odd quid instead. shouts to @runtheboroughs who will very kindly be match funding! link is in my bio🌟
thanks 4 reading, love is all there is !
after almost 7 years with goodhood, today is my last day. a quick thank you to the brands, partners, designers and creatives i’ve been lucky enough to work with over the years, and the legendary colleagues who have made each day fun and inspiring. so many memories and friends made, lessons, growth, failure, success, and fun. what a belter. excited, grateful and ready for what the next chapter will bring. inna bit @goodhood 🌟
