On Saturday, David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) had the tremendous joy of hosting our very first private vernissage, THE ART OF SURVIVAL, in the stunning surroundings of
@ampneypark
On the sunniest day of the year so far, our magnificent guests, talented artists and ambitious DSWF team came together to champion the power of art, whilst connecting through our shared passion and commitment to wildlife conservation.
We were delighted to welcome guests to view new works by accomplished conservation artists
@emilylamb_art and
@leahwoodartwork . Whilst Emily’s collection expressed her reverence for the intelligence and mystery of our wilderness, Leah’s work reflected on the vulnerability of Africa’s wildlife, observed through contrasting experiences.
Alongside Emily and Leah, a select group of incredibly inspiring wildlife artists were invited to exhibit, with each artwork representing an individual experience connected to wildlife. From getting lost in India’s natural world, to bringing us closer to Africa’s clay history; from the majesty of elephants and lions to pangolins and painted dogs, jaguars, octopus, honeybees and more - the artists and their work were carefully curated in the name of the wildlife DSWF fights tirelessly to protect and preserve.
THE ART OF SURVIVAL, a collection exploring impact and fragility in equal measure, is now available for sale online, with 30%–50% of each artwork generously donated by the artists to DSWF’s mission of protecting wildlife in Africa and Asia.
To everyone who became part of this truly special and unique event, we thank you wholeheartedly for the support, engagement and joy you brought with you. It was an inspiring evening, lived firmly in the footsteps of David Shepherd’s legacy. We are already looking forward to the next time…
