Class Description: Learn the six different responding patterns (evading, blocking, trapping, reactions, immobilizing, counter punching) vs the six major boxing punches to give your movement and choreography library structure, depth and breadth. ***Intermediate Class: 3 Years of Screen Fighting Training

Class Title: Panantukan aka Filipino Dirty Boxing for Film
Class Description: Learn how to perform the techniques of Panuntukan including boxing, trapping, takedowns, and other brutal techniques and make them look good on film.

Class Title: Shoot a Scene from a Shot List
Class Description: Given a shot list for a simple action scene, you, the cinematographer/camera operator will explore what settings would be used for different shots. You will get hands-on practice using a camera or the Black Magic App (free!) to learn practically what all these weird terms mean including: focal length, framerate, shutter speed/angle, iris, iso, white balance, and nd filters. Everyone will come away with a fully shot scene they can edit.

Class Title: Parkour Chase Scene Basics
Class Description: This class will cover the parkour basics you would need for a simple chase scene. Descents from height, ascents, basic vaults, tic tacs, and shimmying. You will string these movements together into full runs and perform them as a basic chase scene. ***Intermediate Class: Can consistently perform basic vaults, underbars, and wall runs.

Class Title: Trampoline Basics for Falls and Flips
Class Description: In this semi-private lesson you will learn the drills you need to develop air awareness, twisting, flipping, and landing in multiple orientations.
What a great turnout to start the year off strong. I had the pleasure of teaching an incredible group of actors and stage combatants an intro to film fighting class through @neutralchaoscombat . We had one day of basics and one day to film vignettes that each group of three students created.
The group I worked with wanted to create a C grade soap opera, with knives and found weapons. They spent two hours building and rehearsing the fight and two hours filming. This was the first time any of them fought on film and they crushed it!
