New song alert! At least ur cool actually kinda started as a joke & now it’s one of my favorite songs ever. Funny how that goes. Sometimes I can’t believe that I’m able to make art that I’m proud of with people that I love so much. @andresalejandrosalomon & @imsammynoelle are two of those people for sure. It’s almost unfair how talented they are & and we all had so much fun making this. Idek if I have to say it but link in bio of course

Some story for you: We gave ourselves 3 hours to film the visual for at least ur cool. It felt reasonable considering that the 3 of us are extremely busy adults, but even still, I don’t know if I truly knew the kind of undertaking it would be. What’s crazier is that I barely had time plan how it was gonna go and - as far as creative projects are concerned - it was probably the least prepared I’ve ever been. There were so many moments in production and in post when we got lucky and it came out good despite the lack of prep and my lack of knowledge. The final video looked simple but my goodness, I learned so much from making this. From lighting a scene, filming on an actual camera (& not an iPhone), figuring out a faster editing workflow, and coloring, then coloring some more and then, you guessed it, re-coloring footage til it looked right. I’m not a “video-person” by any means, but I jumped in anyway and walked away with a whole new world of knowledge. I think it’s good to try new things, if you can. I think it’s also good to surround yourself with people who are more creatively experienced than you. @imsammynoelle and @andresalejandrosalomon are two of the more creatively experienced people that this visual wouldn’t have happened without. They were willing to lend their hands and creative gifts to help and I am endlessly grateful for their investment both in my creativity and in my life. There’s so many new, cool creative things to learn. If you put in the work, try, and don’t give up, you might make something you truly enjoy. I love this song and I love this visual- not because it’s mine, but because making it was so much more valuable of a journey than how the finished product turned out. There’s nothing more beautiful than the creative process. If nothing else, I hope this small snippet of bts gives you a sudden burst of creative energy to try something new. You never know what you’re capable of until you jump off the ledge and go for it. If you’re still reading, I sure do appreciate you and thanks for listening. Now go make something cool!!!

I have a goal to do 12 shows this year. Keep me accountable chat.

True to form, January was exactly one whole year long. I rang in the new year with people I love, I released a new (old) song, spent good time with friends, @hairbyanniea made me feel like a million bucks per usual, I double booked too many things/fell full swing into disorganized chaos and @lachambss loved me through it all, I practiced playing instruments a lot, made more new music with friends, ventured out of my house and went to several local shows, I stole multiple cups from @andresalejandrosalomon ’s house, filmed a whole music video, went down the rabbit hole of coloring another music video with @sammynoelle , and played my first show in 2 years with the best band that I love so much. I can’t imagine a month more full of all the emotions on the human spectrum. In the good and bad, I think that most days this life is better than I could have imagined.

Did a few unreleased songs this past Saturday but this was my favorite one 🌱 Thanks again to @bloomusicollective for having us out to play such a fun show! (P.S. song is called “greener” and will be out later this year)

Told y’all I’d sing this for you if you came! Thank you to all the people that came out to the @bloomusicollective 3rd anniversary show. It was so fun and I met so many new friends and my heart is so happy!! haven’t performed my own music like this in like 2 years so it was SO GOOD to be back!!!
