Large operable shutters filter easterly light into Jardan Byron Bay, introducing a play of light and shadow through their natural woven textures. These create a conceptual link with domestic shutters, fostering a residential overlay within the industrial retail space.

Reuse, Repair, Recycle - Circularity was the key focus of the new workplace for Hydro Tasmania’s retail arm, Momentum Energy.
Working closely with @hot.black.design the new office was designed to incorporate reused and relocated furniture as part of the overall workplace strategy. Rather than starting from scratch, existing workstations were thoughtfully integrated into the new layout alongside new settings, ensuring visual consistency and functional performance across the floor.
HOW Group facilitated the relocation of workstations from Momentum Energy’s previous office, managing disassembly, transport and reinstallation. These were fitted with matching acoustic panels to align with the new Adapt Workstation settings. By retaining and reusing quality furniture, the project reduced material sent to landfill and avoided the need for additional virgin materials to manufacture entirely new settings.
New workstation areas were delivered using the Adapt Workstation, supported by task seating designed for daily ergonomic performance. All new workstations and task chairs were supplied with 10 year warranties, reinforcing a focus on durability and long term use.

Two years. From construction site to finished space.
This film wasn’t about explaining architecture. It was about feeling it.
Movement became the organising principle. The camera never settled. It travelled through the space with intention, tracing lines, volume and light in a single continuous rhythm. @steadi_potts Steadicam work was central to achieving that precision and flow.
The grade leaned into the building’s natural palette, subtly amplifying the clarity, contrast and energy already present in the space. We deliberately avoided the familiar architectural photography tropes of blanket warmth and desaturated nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake.
@adriennerosemusic composed a bespoke score that carried the momentum. Inspired by the tension and lift of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein’s Stranger Things theme, and @zee._.ntuli ’s work for @audemarspiguet , the music guided the edit’s pacing rather than simply sitting beneath it.
