Debated posting this but this was such a big thing in my life that I’m beyond grateful for. One year ago today this beautiful moment happened ❤️. This was such an emotional week because the doctors didn’t think my dad would make it out of the hospital. I remember how hard it was and how insane it felt, the unknown. Tom pulled out the ring at the perfect time and I was so happy that my dad got to witness it. My dads cancer journey changed my whole perspective on marriage. I wouldn’t trade it for anything that it happened this way! My dad knew I’d be okay. Luckily he got to see even more, but this moment was everything. Cherishing these memories forever ❤️.
My dad passed away Thursday and it’s been very very difficult. I already miss him so much. Nothing can prepare you for this, even when you know the time is coming. He endured so much in these last 3.5 years of his cancer journey. The things we saw and the things he went through have greatly changed the course of my life forever. He always found a way to make light of a difficult situation and never failed to put a smile on anyone’s face, even in the end. I’m glad he’s no longer in pain and I am trying to find comfort in knowing he’s in a better place. My heart aches but I’m going to try everyday to make you proud dad. I love you forever and I’ll miss you so much. I’ll never stop thinking about you. My hero❣️💔.

hard to sum up a whole year but the gist of it: tons of Phillies games, a beautiful yoga retreat that brought me back to myself and who I want to be moving forward, loads of styling work, sitting with grief(truly) & LOTS of cat cuddles. a whole lot of shedding. ready to step into a new year embracing me and the beauty around me 🤍.
