āš”ļøFeatured on THE NEW YORK TIMES, @nytimes blog & newspaper on 1st August 2021. šŸ’« 🌟There is Magic inside you & if you’re good, there’s a world of endless possibilities ✨ you don’t always need contacts, you don’t need huge investments to start , you don’t need to have a rich or influential family etc. I used or had none of the above. I started a career in a place ( Chennai), where i had 0 contacts, was an outsider, didn’t know the language or the industry, didn’t take a single penny from anybody. I went through my own journey of highs & lows . 🌟What I did have - was ā€˜ME’, persistence, human values, work ethics , resilience, originality, paying people on time, creativity, human connect, being street smart, love for my craft , for the people I touched & the desire to leave a legacy with my work. ✨ 🌟In my journey since 2012, I have faced the highest of highs & the lowest of lows in both my professional & personal life. In our 9th year as @thea3project & 6th year in the wedding industry to be one of the only brands in India to be recognised by a prestigious brand like New York Times, for our work & a non celebrity wedding, is proof, that if I can do it, so can you ! āš”ļø 🌟Thankyou to my incredible team old & new to always be my home away from home & being so good. To all my amazing clients who trust me , who trust us. To our amazing vendors & B2B connections who support us. I’m so grateful ✨ 🌟For this one I need to thank @prethee.martina x @gram.gautham for just being so unique. For letting me be. For loving & respecting us so much. Thankyou! šŸ¤Your wedding got us recognised by my most favourite portals. @condenastindia @vangoghmuseum @archdigestindia @lifestyleasiaindia , @nytimes , @weddingsutra @wedmegood @bridesofsabyasachi etc etc ! This wedding has been all over . Big shout out to my female entourage @harsheenjammu @ombrebyhj , @biancalouzado both these ladies have also become my dear friends 😘 I thank the universe for the blessings, the lessons , the bad & the good . We wouldn’t be anywhere without all of it. Miles to go before we sleep ! So need to #keepgoing & #keepdreaming āœØšŸ’« #nytimes #thea3project #instagram #weddings #instalike #vangogh

Working with @ambitrix was an absolute pleasure… she understands the vision and elevates it in every way. Over months of sketches, illustrations, mood decks, and planning, we layered ideas, explored scale, textures, and movement, and gradually the space came alive. Her attention to detail, sense of rhythm, and mastery of composition gave the set depth and grandeur, making it immersive and intentional. Every curve, arch, and surface carried the narrative, and the final look reflects her insight as much as the concept itself. Collaborating with someone who thinks visually, practically, and emotionally at once made the set not only seen, but truly felt! Earth & Ember | Sanjana x Trishaal, Bangalore ✨ Where the rawness of earth meets the fire of emotion… Earth & Ember was not just a setting, but a feeling. Deep crimson florals blooming against moody greens, flickering candlelight dancing under crystal skies, rich textures layered like stories waiting to unfold… This wasn’t about subtle. This was about presence. Power. Personality. Because love like theirs doesn’t whisper — it burns, glows, and lingers. ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ Gone are the days of pastels… This season belongs to the bold, the expressive, the unforgettable. The Malka set was envisioned as a space that reflects the architectural richness of the Indian subcontinent, where pillars, minars, and railings draw from classical Indian forms alongside old Persian interior influences. Curved walls were filled with intricate artworks and motifs inspired by historic manuscripts, palace frescoes, and traditional decorative arts, while Urdu inscriptions added another layer of cultural expression. Deep red fabrics flowed across the set, a colour long associated with celebration, royalty, and ceremony in the region. Every detail of the set was carefully considered by @ambitrix from the structure of the arches to the placement of murals and textiles! What began as a design idea gradually transformed into something far more immersive than we had imagined… a world where architecture, colour, and craft came together naturally. The final set became the stage for Malka, allowing the garments, jewellery, and storytelling of the characters to exist within a space that felt both historic and alive. The world of Malka was imagined as a meeting point between folklore and the architectural memory of the subcontinent. While the narrative draws from the legendary heroines of Sindhi and Punjabi lore, the visual environment was shaped by a larger cultural landscape. Across historic sites in India, spatial design has often been used to frame emotion, ritual, and experience. The set therefore became an attempt to recreate that sense of layered space. Many of the visual cues for the environment came from the enduring design traditions of western and northern India, where architectural languages carry a deep connection to climate, traditions, and regional aesthetics, and referencing them allowed the set to feel anchored in something historically familiar while still serving a fictional narrative. Because Malka brings together several legendary love stories, the set was also imagined as a shared landscape, almost like a timeless stage where these figures could exist together. Rather than recreating a single historical palace or monument, the aim was to evoke the feeling of a place shaped by memory, folklore, and collective imagination. A heartfelt thank you to @ambitrix & @vibhuagarwal5 for bringing extraordinary dedication and creativity to this process. The team’s commitment to detail made it possible to translate an imagined world into a physical space, and to make the set look as expansive and dreamlike as it had first been envisioned.
