This year there’s a whole TWO days of music to enjoy 🎶👊 Here’s our selection of must see artists 🙌 ~ SATURDAY ~ BROOK HODGES @brookhmusic is a Sheffield based artist with raw, reflective songwriting exploring love, identity and everything in between. USP RESIDENTS @usp.events bring a curated lineup showcasing selectors from their open decks night - focusing on UKG, Jungle, Bassline & DnB. HUNGRY LUNGZ @hungry_lungz is a Sheffield based DJ and producer blending jungle, 160, dubstep and bassline into fast paced sets. Having shook Boomtown, she’s guaranteed to smash the dancefloor. ÁMBA @amba.sounds blend Latin rhythms, jazz, funk and soul. Led by Nate Kennedy, Amba deliver an expressive set that gets your hips swaying. WAHALA @d.j_wahala is an incredible emerging DJ from Flaw Collective - drawing on sounds from the African diaspora, moving through Afrohouse and Afrobeats. Part of the Deadman birthday bash at @colescornersheffield with @davidboomah KHAMRA @khamraofficial are a mix of funk, soul and jazz. Their new single On the Run is on the way and they’ve been selected to play Tramlines this year. STEVE EDWARDS @uksteveedwards is one of Sheffield’s music royalty. A two-time Grammy nominee and chart topper, his live sets blend jazz, soul & reggae. ~ SUNDAY ~ RITETRAX TAKEOVER @ritetrax present a youth led stage spotlighting emerging talent from their community programme, working with young people to develop talent in Sheffield’s music scene. ROSH @rosh_lal_music is a Sheffield songwriter influenced by folk and jazz. Songs of ecology and political unrest with harmonies and finger picking acoustic guitar. MAISIE JEAN & THE NOISE MACHINE Leeds based band The Noise Machine collab with the electronic sound of @maisiejeanmusic for an indie, guitar driven set. TRAIL MIX One of the new DJs from Flaw Collective, @020trailmix is a multigenre specialist. From reggaeton to dancehall, with detours through disco and jazz influenced beats. I had just formed the original ámba line up, we were brand new & excited to jump into gigs & give it some! .
