"And every time it happens"
is a public intervention and installation where people are invited to meet and embroider together, an hybrid format between a workshop
and a ceremony.
In this project we explore the role of stitching in human history as a way to pass on knowledge, storytelling through thread and needle. How can we preserve knowledge from our ancestors?
How do we access their blueprints on how to survive the fall of civilization?
This is not its peak, capitalism has already fallen!
Allowing to slow down the fractile rhythm of change, we try to digest the sorrow of war, make more space for feelings to be felt, linger in them. We wake up ancient grief through songs, songs that weep land stolen from their caretakers in Naples.

Hands who care, hands who love,
Hands are wands,
Roots to the soul.
Hands are alchemists, waves of intentions,
Language and despair.
Hold yourself tight!

Sewing Ecologies. 2024
On collective sewing and ritual practices.
The word catastrophe comes from ancient Greek καταστροφή (katastropé), from καταστρέφω (katastréphō, “I topple over”), from κατά (katá, “down, against”) and στρέφω (stréphō, “turn back”). Catastrophe is the description of a movement, a turn, a transformation into a state, with no return to the previous one. Catastrophe describes the life force beyond human control. Today we blame ourselves for a catastrophic environment. Have we cultivated catastrophe in the wrong direction? Is catastrophe irreversible?
Every Thursday, I invited people to mend a torn old white cloth. The white thread on the white cloth serves as a symbol for the invisible work. The question remains, does time, does the needle create healing?
Thanks to all the magical menders:

So mote it be!
It was such a wonderful experience to be invited to @karargah36 and hold a session of 'sewing ecologies'. Can't thank you enough @ccbrogaard
for thinking about me.
Hands and the visual representation of their movement through the thread became a sort of signature, an individual trace in a collective moment. It invited me to think on how individuality doesn't need to be constructed through ideological identities but it's all there already, it's our joy and blessing to gain the tools to explore it and discover it throughout our life times. Collective practices allow us to emanate to others what we have found in ourselves, give others the chance to mirror themselves, stare at each other eyes and be reminded that behind the sight we are going through the same experience.
Bless it be the heart,
Bless it be our hands,
Bless it be the Jordemoder.

Their little hearts. 2024
Sound and video installation.
In collaboration with the talented @edlinjap
and Amina Hassan we took over the Foyer of Litzenburgerstr. for the Katastrophe exhibition.
The installation was a looped video and ai generated voice-over, reading the text written by Amina. We played with the archetype of the institution and the teacher. The bipolar attitude of German institutions is showing more then ever in the current crisis, this might be the occasion of finally see and face the horror we have been trying to propose to young generations as educational content.
What would an oppressor say when feeling safe to speak from the heart? Their little heart..

Atmosfera VII
I walk with my wounds open,
a prophet to your heart.
The smocking earth in the morning,
Woven castles in the grass.
God's third eye,
returning through the clouds.
I stand here and violent you tell me to understand, using victimism to infiltrate in my heart space.
The night before tears are warming her cheeks while she brings nourishment to her mouth.
Our revolution is resilience,
Willing to break the chain.
I can see through the dark,
I can see in the dark.

From water we come, to water we return.
Our legs are touching, the wind throws itself at the leaves, florid and juicy summer leaves,
The smell of lake is incomparable, the one in the air and the one on your skin.
I look at the sky, Sun´s spell on the sky,
the illusion of being earthly beings,
the blue above us protects me from the void of the universe.
-it´s just sometimes we can arrive so far with our thinking and yet the healthiest state of existence seems to me an harmonic instinctive bareness of construct ?-
Your answer to that is hitting my eardrums, your words enter my body, they solidify my pores into goosebumps.
The air is light and yet thick with odors, water under my armpits.
