HA! Going down memory lane real quick 😂 I’ve always spoke about how about me and my brother Andre were the only black people on a Punjabi Dance Team at UNF for the longest time over a decade ago. I always loved the Indian community for always welcoming us with open arms. Set inside the lush greenery of @auraplantstudio , this three-hour evening experience invites guests into a warm, dimly lit atmosphere where tea, music, and conversation melt together. In place of the usual evening cocktails, guests will enjoy a curated selection of herbal teas sponsored by @republicoftea — alongside a signature hot toddy — while settling into a richer, more sensual soundscape. As the night unfolds, a listening experience curated by @amarimonster & @oiijioo flows through bossa nova, jazz, soul, classical, traditional folk, reggae, and R&B— creating a soundtrack for deeper connection, ease, and lingering conversation. The evening will also feature a live electric performance by @tedevibes , spoken word by @freqyqi , and a live painting experience by @rayjr17 — adding layers of sound, expression, and visual storytelling to the space. This gathering is intentionally intimate, bringing together creatives, thinkers, and neighbors to share space in a softened, unhurried way. Whether you arrive with friends or come alone, Teas & Convos offers room to unwind, connect, and simply be. One of my São Paulo bucket list activities was to visit the Afro Brazillian Museum. Man, @museuafrobrasil was life changing. The energy was heavy but only because of the vast amount of history in every inch and corner of the facility. It was nicely curated with various artifacts from places I had never heard of! I wasn’t able to look at everything but it was enough to leave me in awe. If you are an art and history lover you MUST GO! And on Wednesdays it’s FREE. Thank you @clara.temponi for taking me 🥹 I miss you wifey!! Honestly there’s so many things that I loved about my trip to Brazil. I’m still processing it all. I MISS IT 😩
