: Happy birthday Drizzyyy! I made this for you🎈
Man, this was tough. So many times I had to pause and just stare at your face on my screen while making this, but with every line and stroke, it became less sorrow and more a celebration of your life! I understood more that you’re no longer suffering or in any pain. You’re no longer dealing with the stress of the world. You’re resting! Referencing you in the past tense is still too surreal (and I’m not quite there yet) so I’ll honour you by saying you are so so special and I’m so glad we became friends!
Happy birthday Drey! I know it’s LIT in heaven right now! All the angels buss a Gwara Gwara!
Love and miss you dearly 🧡
Rest in perfect peace! @dreygoldenhead
: So real quick... I entered a competition put together by H&M and my old college Shillington. To celebrate the reopening of the new Oxford Street store, the shopfront is currently set up as a canvas to celebrate and champion youth creativity. The idea was to showcase what the term ‘BREAKTHROUGH’ meant to me and well... here it is. Mind you, the competition was held back in March but due to all the hectic goings on in the world right now, it was postponed. Buuut I MADE IT! My design was chosen by H&M and is currently plastered on all walls of the shopfront. I’d really appreciate if you could post my design on your socials with perhaps what breakthrough means to you. If you do get the chance also, head over to 174-176 Oxford St and take a photo with my work. I’d absolutely love that!!! Be sure to tag me and use hashtags #HMxShillington #AMATIME so I can see all your beautiful posts. Also, if you’d like a copy (with or without the numbers) to hang on your wall or protest with, etc. let me know and we’ll make it happen!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
: If you can find a smile in the most devastating setting, you’ve found hope. You’ve found something to look forward to. You’ve found something to keep you going. BLACK PEOPLE, this one’s for US.
As hard as it may be, we can’t be robbed of our smiles while we fight the good fight because it’s literally all some of us have to fight with (metaphorically obvi) 🖤✊🏿#wearenotsmiling #blacklivesmatter
