My @ancestry data will tell you I am Ashkenazi, of Eastern European descent. But my family history gets more specific, I am from the Galicia region of Austria. So when one of my fave chefs (and people!) @wolfgangpuck invited me to a celebration of Austrian wines at @cutnewyorkcity at @fsnydowntown tonight, I was excited, honored, and humbled. I obviously took my Jewish sister @sydneyjenna3 with me (also of Austrian descent! we wonder if we are for real related, it would make so much sense) - and it was a spectacular evening of food, wine, and friendship.
I do not feel confident in my knowledge of many topics, but I know my martinis. And this farmhouse martini at @abckitchens made with vodka, dill brine, and a dill cheese olive has completely blown my mind.
