The biggest heartbreak of my life. I was so lucky to love and be loved by you for 5 years, Willow (aka Hissing Sid, pudgy cat, pooch, Mrs Meow).
As many of my friends know she was an extremely misunderstood cat, scared by anything and everything, which had only worsened over the past couple of years.
Things took a turn for the better when we moved last year, her fur was growing back and she was so affectionate, even to my father who is her arch nemesis. An accidental fall out of the window pushed back her progress and she declined below previous levels, resulting in her being aggressive and unsafe to others.
We tried all the medications and more but I’m thankful she may be given a second chance by going to work with a behaviour specialist who will determine the best course for her. Whether that be rehoming or being put to sleep, I am sure they will do what is best.
If I could, I would take her back in a heartbeat. Though I cannot be selfish.
I’ll always be thinking of her and her love of bagpipes, La Vie en Rose and a Princess Diana wig she insisted on trying to eat.
