Five years ago, when we were Alykat Gallery, the original Fairy Floss Fantasy group exhibition was interrupted by our very first lockdown in Coffs. Weeks later, as the town slowly reopened, I hosted multiple mini openings of just 8 people at a time. Every session sold out and brought people together through colour, themed cocktails, goodie bags, and unapologetic fun 💖 Now, five years on and one year into The Laneway Gallery, Fairy Floss Fantasy returns 💓 Still just as quirky, dreamy, and a little bit strange, with pinks, peach and pastels leading the way, the gallery will once again become a hub of positive inspiration. Anyone noticed the new festival poster design for @nambuccavalleyopenstreets looks a little Alykat this year? Well, you’d be right!! 👏😻🚦 It’s been an adventure working with lovely @joelatgoodcrew and the gorgeous photos captured from last year’s event by @andthetreesphotography to create this mammoth digital collage, launching their next free festival taking over the streets of Macksville NSW on February 14. Scroll through the close up snippets to see the detail in bringing all of the images together and added illustrations highlighting the river meets the sea concept with local totems and animals of the area playfully interacting. It’s a huge family fun day out with local band stages and activities, markets and games, and a spectacular fireworks display to finish up your Valentine’s Day! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mid north coast region 🫶

I’m starting the year off with a couple of fun surprise collage workshops invited by the fine folks at @yam.coffs 🙌 There’s an all ages (12+) contemporary collage session AND a cheeky collage & cocktails 18+ evening session – so excited for this!
