Setting The Pace: Leon ‘Sweets’ Lewis aka South London’s Forrest Gump. Peckham, South London.
Four years ago it wasn’t even on his radar but in less then two years he completed his six Majors, 100km ultras, and a run across Jamaica that asked him what he was really made of.
Raised between Catford, Lewisham & Peckham The streets that he unapologetically reps.
The community runs with him. And he’s nowhere near done.

The kind of distance you don’t talk about in miles. You talk about it in shifts. In sunrises. In how many times you got back on the road when your legs said no.
340 miles. Your quads are gone by mile 80. Your stomach turned on you somewhere around Baker.
Nobody’s watching. It’s just you, the truck and your team.

Super shoes, broken records, blue skies and a crowd that screamed your name like they’ve known you their whole life.
London’s greatest day of the year.

There’s nothing quite like marathon day in London.
It starts months before the gun. Dark mornings. Long runs no one sees. The quiet discipline of showing up for yourself again and again.
Then Sunday arrives.
800,000 strangers line the streets to support you like you’re the one they came to see.
Volunteers show up at sunrise so 59,000 people they’ll never meet can have the day of their lives. Runners give everything they’ve got for a finish line that doesn’t owe them anything back.
By mile 3 you’re high-fiving kids you’ll never see again. By mile 18 someone’s shouting your name like they’ve been waiting all year to do it. By mile 24 you’re not sure if you’re crying or smiling but it doesn’t matter because the whole street is doing it with you.
That’s the thing about London. It’s not just a race. It’s a city choosing, for one day, to believe in something together.
One of the greatest marathons in the world. And Sunday proved it again.

Day 1 at the @runlimited.ldn Club Lounge.
Our first real in-person pop-up, and it’s been unreal.
This time last year AIM had just started and we were here as visitors, watching from the outside. Today we’re sharing the same space. Wild to sit with.
The best part was meeting all of you. Familiar faces, new ones, people travelling in from far and wide to pick up their AIM Sunnies. Thank you.
S/o to @liam_mackowski , @jfrauloryder and @jxrell_ for stepping up to Team AIM for the relay. Didn’t take home the Chicago Marathon tickets but a lot of fun.
Sharing the space with @banditrunning , @nikerunning , @runlimited.ldn , @maurten_official has been something else. Leaders in the game, especially when it comes to community.
The London Gold Collection is moving. Be quick or miss out. Available here first at The Club Lounge, then online from April 27th.

Raised in West London. Shaped by the people around him. Everything he builds is for the his 13 year old self.
His first marathon didn’t go the way he planned. So he made it his mission to get it done. By any means.
