The Oxford Film Festival, wow, what a weekend. We took home two awards: Best Documentary Short & Best Made in Mississippi Doc Short 💥@pleaseaskforit . Screening at this festival has been a long-time dream and I am so happy that it came true. We had such an incredible time meeting so many talented filmmakers and passionate supporters, many of whom came to our after-party! Huge thanks to @dswider and @endofallmusic for making my ‘after-party in a record store’ dream come true. To @quartzwatches for driving down and DJing 45s. Right before the holidays I learned that one of our friends passed away unexpectedly. I really struggled with it - she was young with so much life ahead of her. It reminded me that while time feels infinite, our time here is limited. I have always struggled with the quiet moments in between the celebrations but I’m looking to take a new approach in this year- to see time as a luxury, something to savor rather than rush through. Sharing a few of the sweetest moments from 2023. Ten images are truly not enough to capture this year. 💌

Please Ask for It had its Memphis premiere last Saturday. When I started editing this project during the pandemic I felt an immense urgency to finish the film and release it while Mr. Caldwell was still in good health and could come to the premiere. I am so pleased to say that, we did it! Caldwell arrived at the theater with his crew of family and friends from Holly Springs and it was a truly magical experience to watch the film all together at the iconic Circuit Playhouse. Thanks to @indiememphis for making it all possible. 🎥🍿✨
