In this case Beggin’ marked a turning point in my life….the big question “am I GONNA SURVIVE GOING SOLO??”……not to mention “am I gonna be able to be a mum AND sustain the launch of essentially a new career?” And “what does it look like to shake up an industry while also entering it as a newby?” Also “am I m.f.crazy af?!”
3 years ago today Beggin’ came along and gave me so much hope…and I ate that sh!t up. All I need is a little hope and I will move mountains with it. @chrislake thank you for being such an awesome collaborator not only as a producer but as a man who stands with me in the continued work that needs to be done to make the dance industry equitable for black woman.
