APOLOGIST II (2026) : APOLOGIST is an inquiry into the paradox of modern consumerism. The project reinterprets IKEA products β exploring the tension between the reliance on mass-manufacturing economy and the resurging demand for handmade sensibility.
Seen here is a coffee table made from the SKOGSTA bench with additional rounded edges, a cut-out handle for carrying, and partially stained finish; introducing a subtle warmth and playfulness to the utilitarian object.
On view at All Studio Open House

Seen here is a hybrid between the IKEA RY side tableβs structure and a hand carved Japanese lacquerware tray-turn-top. An assemblage that represents the clashing design approach without compromising their respective functionality.
