@cocodona250 Pacer Report 002 After a two-hour sleep in the truck following the chaos of day one, it was finally time to start pacing. From @satisfyrunning Fain Ranch to Mingus Mountain, the course rolled through cow fields before turning into a long, chunky climb. As the sun came up, spirits were high and Trevor picked up his pacer (me) just before the 100-mile mark. As darkness faded, we made our way toward Mingus. After climbing over a 1000m, it was time for coffee, oatmeal, and shooting a few hoops on the MBA court with the @distancetoemptypod crew. Then came the descent into Jerome. Ruthless. Chunky rocks, steep loose chutes, and technical terrain that felt never-ending, all set against views that looked more like the European mountains than Arizona desert. Eventually, dirt turned to pavement as we passed the mine and rolled into town. The temperatures kept rising as we descended into Jerome to see the crew. To be continued in Pacer Report 003.

@cocodona250 Pacer Report: 001 The trip started with chaos. First, the airline lost my bag with all my @rydrateco nutrition. Then our rental campervan started having electrical problems. Once the rental company “fixed” it, I was scrambling to track down gels and hydration powder before the 5am race start the next morning. Luckily, I had packed most of my running gear in my carry-on. After package pickup and a short shakeout run with the @distancetoemptypod crew, Trevor was ready. A few final details and an early night before the big day. Race morning came after sleeping through a sandstorm in the van. As the sun came up, the mass start rolled out and we headed toward Crown King, 36.6 miles in - the first crew-access aid station. We stopped at Bumble Bee, where crews wait until their runner passes a checkpoint before being released up the steep single lane mountain road. We got our pass to head up to CK, started the van… and every check engine light came on. The transmission was toast. Panic set in. Trevor was expecting a full pack and clothing swap at Crown King, over an hour from Bumble Bee - we had to get to him. Huge shoutout to @marinas_trailrunning_quests husband and pacer @chrisfleugel for saving us. We carpooled to Crown King and arrived seconds befor Trevor. I grabbed his new pack in one hand and gear in the other as I ran to catch him for a quick changeover before the next crew access 40 miles away at Whiskey Row. After Crown King, we drove the van with a cooked transmission an hour just to empty it into a pickup truck so we could make it to the next stop. Fully expecting the van to break down on the highway, we somehow limped it in with luck on our side. Whiskey Row. Pizza, a quick clothing swap, and Trevor was off into the night. After a quick stop at Watson Lake, we tried to catch a two hour nap sitting in the truck since we no longer had a camper van to crew out of. Next stop: @satisfyrunning Fain Ranch, where I finally lace up my shoes to start pacing. To be continued in Pacer Report 002.

Q1 trail views. This year, more than ever, I feel where I belong. There’s something about coming back to the land that shaped you. The quiet roads, the open space, the familiar air as it warms up and the sage thaws. This is where I first learned what adventure felt like. Not the big, headline moments… but the small ones. The ones that stick. Early mornings. Long miles. Getting a little lost and finding your way back. I used to think growth meant leaving. That change only came from chasing something new. But lately, it feels like the opposite is true. Like everything I’ve been looking for has been here all along, waiting for me to slow down enough to notice it. These views aren’t just scenery anymore. They’re a reminder. Of where I started, how far I’ve come, and why I keep going. Grateful to call this my backyard. ❤️

Here's to more time spent in the alpine in 2026. High above the clouds, searching for something I hope I never find. This year is filled with more adventures, it might be hard to top last years FKT but I've got a few things on deck to keep the soul fed. First up is @foldingmountainultra 60km in June followed up by a 12 hour at @sasquatchultra_ with the @bush_babe_ 24 hour race in July. And then another FKT attempt in September..... 🤔 you'll just have to wait and see.

This conversation with @almost_fast on @enduringmindspodcast stayed with me long after we hit stop. Jessy opens up about trauma, tattoos, creativity, and how running became his lifeline long before he knew he needed one. His 300km run wasn’t about performance…it was about healing, connection, and showing people they’re never alone. If you’ve ever turned to movement to process life, this episode is going to hit you right in the chest. Give it a listen & tell me the moment that resonated the most. ❤️‍🩹 📸: thelifeofdev

2.5 months out from running 257km and setting a new record running around Okanagan Lake, beating the previous time by ten hours… and tomorrow I sign up for @foldingmountainultra 60km as a “warm-up” for a 24-hour race and a new FKT attempt in late Summer 2026. This journey has shown me many things, but one thing that is for sure - when you set big goals and ask for help, people show up. Every time. Huge thank-you to @jakroo_official and @sproutbreadshop for believing in the project and supporting the documentary coming this spring. A project built to prove that strength grows with community & we are never alone. All profits for this project go to the @wirthhats foundation to help support those who may not be able to afford counselling and therapy. Running 53 hours straight taught me what my body can endure. The people I’ve met along the way taught me what my heart can. Can’t wait to see where you all push me next. 🏃‍♂️🏔🏁💙

🚨Into the darkness🔦 As the sun set both nights, it was hard to see your progress - no picking a landmark to gauge how far you have gone, no visual reminder of your journey. While the night was a welcome change, it was also another challenge to overcome as it was easier to feel the lack of sleep setting in. 53 hours of movement with a little over an hour of sleep. Happy to have the support from @knog to stay safe on the trails and roads and keep the eyes awake with good night visibility. The Bilby Run 400 headlamp was a great advantage, not only to see the road ahead but also to help stay seen - the red side illumination from the one piece silicone strap was an added bonus of safety 👌 The headlamp, along with a few clip-on Plus Free rear lights that you barely notice being clipped on, kept me, my pacers, and the crew safe through the night while running on dark back roads and moonlit trails. 256.9km and not one blister!!! *warning slide 3 is not for sale 👣 A good fitting shoe, some foot powder to keep your feet dry and fresh toe socks are all part of the recipe for happy feet! As someone who has tried every shoe out there (if you have been to our house you know theres 200 pairs of shoes here) I have found my favorite models from @asicsrunning to keep my feet happy. 👟 Daily driver - Gel Kayano 32 - the new kayanos are the most comfortable stability shoe I have ever tried. No weird post feeling, soft but responsive mid sole and wide options for when the feet get swollen on those long hauls. These shoes are underrated and a great option for flat feet or people looking for a guided neutral feel. Dont be fooled they can still pick up the pace! 👟 In the mix - Gel Nimbus 27 & Superblast 2 - both great high stack shoes to go the distance. The Nimbus 27 is a super comfy slower pace option with some nice return in the midsole whereas the Superbalst 2 is my go to for faster pace long runs. I would use the Superblast for everything from a fast 10km to a marathon or ultra distance. If you want a "supershoe" feel without a plate and some mild stability, the Superblast would be your best do it all shoe. 👟 Trail - The Gel Trabuco 13 is my go to do it all trail shoe. From technical terrain to long days, a lower stack with big stack energy from the hidden gel, and a wider toe box this shoe can go the distance and stays stable when your feet get tired. Trabuco Max 4, big comfort with a fast turnover considering the stack due to a nice rockered feel. Great door to trail option and faster than it looks for those long gravel miles. There's a shoe for everyone from Asics, with different stack heights, stability options or race weapons. If you have any questions on what shoe might be the best for you from their line up let me know - I've tried them all and love to nerd out on shoes and gear. 🤓 🙌 I am forever grateful for the support from @asicscanada @asicsrunning @leftcoastsales @mikewhittle keeping these feet happy 🤠 💙 #asicsrunning #asics #gelkayano #gelkayano32 #superblast2 #geltrabuco13 #geltrabuco #gelnimbus #happyfeet #runtherapy #runningshoes

Two weeks since Jessy left from the peach for his trek around Okanagan lake. 53hrs 33min 36 sec and over 250km later he arrived back at the peach. We are so incredibly proud of Jessy 🙌 he pushed his body and mind further than most of us can imagine. Every step was for the Never Alone Project, raising awareness and support for the WIRTH Foundation, who provide free, easy-access therapy for those who otherwise couldn’t afford it. Their Go-Fund me page is still up and linked in our bio! Jessy your run wasn’t just about distance — it was about reminding us all that no one should ever feel alone. We cannot forget about Dayna and the rest of the crew. Their support showed it was never a solo effort, it was a community moving together for something bigger. Yet again proving that you are never alone and you will always have people showing up for you. We’re honored to stand behind you and this cause 🏃🫶🏼✨ 📸 @shimizuimg
