(And yes, I know it's spelled wrong, it was an intentional play on words lol inspired by the final line of the song) The image I chose here for the video is self-explanatory. 2025 has been one of the toughest years of my entire life, but I'm striving to stay grateful even in the midst of the entire world burning down around me. 2 years ago this week, I released what is still to this day (and probably will be for a long time) my favorite body of work I've ever put together. "Shit That Keeps Me Up At Night" was a labor of love that I worked on for over two years, featuring what I feel like, are 11 of the best songs I will EVER make. During those two years I was in love and I was heartbroken, I was feeling myself and I was depressed, I was on top of the world , and I was angry and feeling at an all-time low. I was going through all the ups and downs a human can go through - and it ALL wound up on here. From the artwork, to the production, to the song titles - I toiled over all of it for a long time, and so This album holds a special place for me. It was the first time I tried to make music ABOUT something instead of just punchlines and bars. I went into it with a lot to say, and I said it - and felt like I had a lot to prove, and feel like I proved it. Shout out to everyone was involved in any facet of creating this album. What better clip to post for May the 4th, then the moment I built my own lightsaber. Everything about visting Galaxy's Edge is a bucket-list moment for a life-long Star Wars fan. Fun fact: Anyone who's known me even a little while, has immediately guessed correctly, when I ask them what color they think I chose for my lightsaber 🤣 Someone who didn't know anything about Star Wars said "well...is there a BAD color?" Celebrating more life with more music...Today marks another year around the Sun for me, and I'm happy to still be here. Last November was the 5-year anniversary of "I Apologize In Advance", the album that officially brought me back to Hip-Hop full-time. I wanted to do something special to commemorate it but I was dropping my brand new project ("ANTAGONIST") at the time, and didn't want to muddy the waters by promoting too many things at once. So, since IAIA means so much to me, and since the original artwork was a baby picture of me, I decided to hold off on celebrating the 5-year anniversary until my bday. Here we are. Later this month I'll be dropping a remix of "Meditation" (one of IAIA standout tracks) featuring my Aries bros @showrock and @ansolu__ - both April babies, both lyrical TITANS, so you already know they went crazy on this. They're also dropping an album this month calls "Dear Aries 2", so the synergy is perfect. The remix is produced by my brother Nom Who?, who produced the OG "Meditation" AND every other song on "IAIA".
