In what a consider a true holiday spirit, I decided to finally start sharing more valuable things with you and things I hope can help your wedding planning journey.
This is the season to be extra generous (and also get out of the comfort zone 😅).
It might seem obvious but wedding cakes are not just pretty creations. There’s so much more that goes into the process and I’d like to share mine, hoping it brings value to you! ♥️
Plus I’m also nerdy so be ready for some stats and numbers sprinkled all over 😬 every chance I get I share whatever I know with others, and you’re not going to be the exception.
From helping you figure out how big your wedding cake should be to sharing what delivering tiered cakes truly means🍰…and if there’s something you’ve always wanted to know, ask me, I’m here for it!
Grateful always!

Another round of hype ‘em up Friday/ small biz spotlights / a.b. design’s Rolodex roulette: DESSERT EDITION
As a planner who places the upmost importance on your and your guests’ experience, I am equally as passionate about WHAT is served for dessert and HOW that dessert is presented and served. These are five vendors who have that dialed in. They all value high quality ingredients, create unique and delicious flavor profiles, and take pride in the presentation and craft of their dessert.
You guessed it: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! 🎉 🥳🎂
The good Lord has allowed me to be here another year and there’s no better excuse to celebrate.
Grateful to you as well, that continue to support this crazy decision of mine to drop everything that was stable and familiar and chase a dream.
On the days I want to give up (which are a lot!), my customers, my beautiful industry friends and my amazing hubby, remind me that I actually GET to do this. I get to wake up every day and by God’s grace, continue to build what I hope is a space where people are served well and loved well too.
Here’s to another year of cakes, heartfelt celebrations and tons of buttercream.
Grateful always,
Diana ♥️
P.S: Yes, I will make my own birthday cake, just because I can 😬

I’m never the one who jumps on trends but there’s something about looking back and realizing how grateful we should be for the experiences every year...the not-so-great ones but also the ones that fill your heart.
It’s my chance to say THANK YOU to every single couple that trusted me with their wedding cake this year. Every flower, ruffle and certainly every mountain venue delivery has made me grow, and it’s because of you.
One of the biggest lessons? My own wedding! What that means for you, is: I get what you’re thinking and worrying about. I was with you in the planning trenches this past year and will continue to be.
My 2025 daily reminder: God (clap) is (clap) good. That’s it - Grace and growth are definitely the words that shaped this year for me, my new little family and my business of course. I sincerely hope you find those too, when looking back in your own recap.
Here’s to an amazing 2026.
Grateful always,
Diana
I’m spending Christmas this year in FL, which means I’m extra festive and warm…with that same warmth I want to wish you a cozy, beautiful Christmas week and also drop a present early.
If you read my last post, I drop all the deets on pricing and much against my will, they will change in 2026. But I've decided to delay the change until 1/31/26. And I would love for you to take advantage, secure your date and also check one more box on your list.
Choose a date, book a consultation, let’s chat about your plans and I’ll guide your path to lock in this year’s rates.
Learn from my mistakes - I booked most of our wedding vendors last minute and it was a poor choice, to say the least. So don’t be like me!
I’d love to hear about your plans!
Merry Christmas, grateful always!
Diana
Let’s talk pricing - this is a controversial topic for couples and bakers alive. So here’s my take on it:
🍰I DO charge more for wedding cakes than other celebrations - it has nothing to do with the wedding industry being a ripoff or charging more the moment we hear the “magic” word. Wedding cakes take up to 50% more time to execute (and baking is the last on the list).
It’s about the extra communication needed, the email exchange with your wedding planner, design process iterations and delivery day coordination…just to name a few
🤍Intricate details are very common for wedding cake designs - I’m not only charging for pearls or wafer paper, it’s the experience that allows me to execute that design you’re dreaming about
💵Expensive is definitely relative - which is why I’m beyond transparent about pricing. My website is a reflection of that and also something I always discuss with my couples in the initial consultation.
I hope this helps debunk the myth that wedding professionals are overcharging. We’re here to make your day unique, as it’s meant to be.

Before you continue adding inspiration pictures to your Pinterest board, consider these things to choose a cake size that fits your celebration:
🙋🏽♀️Guest count - sounds pretty obvious but 8/10 times there’s no correlation between the numbers of tiers you’d like and the number of servings you need. That’s where I come in to help you!
🧁Other desserts - dessert tables are here to stay. We need to consider your other offerings, if any!
🍰Extra servings? Whether is for your guests or brunch the next day, some of my couples like to order extra.
These are some of the topics we cover in your initial consultation - simple and sweet!
