Been cooking this one up for a while! Pleased to finally announce our free summer party at @sebrightarms taking place on June 3rd. Pre-10pm will be sets from The French Laundry, Echo Vison and Venus In Noise followed by live sets from Hard Femme Hardware and Lifeloose - all happening downstairs in the sebright basement. @thefrenchlaundrytheband open proceedings with their avant garde electronic art rock. Following this and set to auto-destruct, @echovision.wav combines shoegaze with electronica, ethereal swirls with technological spirals, before riding off and running away into an intoxicated frenzy. Headlining the ‘regular gig time’ proceedings is two-piece noise band @venusinnoise , comprised of Aphrodite Goulioumi (Greece) and Pablo Casadey (Argentina). They have played gigs in London, Tokyo and Copenhagen and are described as having a ‘raw, high-voltage sound and striking artistic identity’ (STARZINE). Their latest single ‘In the Sun‘ is out now. Following this will be @hardfemmehardware , a mainstay of London’s queer scene known for wild club nights and DJ sets who will be debuting a live performance (as well as probably going on before midnight for the first time). Closing the evening will be @lifel00000se - a freaky experimental electronic duo marching through every subgenre of dance music you could ever imagine. Influences such as electroclash, memphis rap, pop, breakbeat and techno culminate in a joyous birthday cake made out of heavy bass and stupid rhythms. The duo have already shared stages with English Teacher, RIP Magic, PVA and Bathing Suits, winning a nod from epic rag So Young Magazine. Arrive 7:30pm in your business or birthday suit as music will be commencing 15-20 minutes after that. This is our first ever event at Sebright and we wanna give a big shout out to @dcasteaux for letting us do this, he’s been a mentor of sorts since we started doing events and we’re beyond excited to bring so much great music to the venue ourselves! If you have a day job just go ahead book the next day off, if you don’t you’ll be calling in ‘sick’ anyway. rhys and gigi x

tickets on DICE now Base Reality and All Spells are teaming up for a rampageous night of sonic madness at New River Studios FATBERG from their raucous speed garage beginnings, Fatberg established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, drawing feral crowds and crafting wild minimal earworms (captured in their self titled 10”). After several line-up changes Fatberg 2.0 has grown and developed into a whole new beast. Darker, weirder and heavier than ever GAMA RE a fresh genre combining power house from East London infusing post-punk, psychedelic rock and drum n bass into a delicious bowl of sound. Known for their electrifying live performances and explorative songwriting HOWLING FIENDS psychedelic garage rock from Greece based in London blending guitar psychedelia with Greek folk in an exiting and original fashion, sure to get the dance floor moving CRISOL RUST a Columbian post-rock/post-hardcore group. Their unique style brings together worlds of sound previously unheard of but desperately needed

Our next event at @thegeorgetavern takes place on Thursday June 18th. Opening the night will be new band @sometimesalwaysband ; sometimes evil, sometimes noisy. @kansascityplayboys are veracibly a post-punk Americana band active in 21st century London. The features of their lives, passions and motivations remain obscure @perfectbindingband is the recording project of London-based songwriter and composer Sam Bedford. Based around nylon-string guitar, voice, cello and fragments of tape music, Bedford creates songs that feel gently detached and intimate and yet still rich in atmosphere. His debut EP presents a collection of slow-burning, subtly arranged recordings (Counterparts, Damning, Interlude, Virginia Creeper) interspersed with between-the-eyes alt-rock pop songs (Tincture, Still Boils Fast)that make for an arresting listening experience. Closing the night will be @loubrishanterry , described by Loud & Quiet Magazine as “Humorous, politically-tinged and at times raucous…with the help of a full band, he creates a richly textured backdrop to his earnest and expressive vocals”.
