It all came together yesterday during my archery mountain lion hunt in Colorado with @huntsilverspuroutfitters ! This was my very first cat and we worked hard for it!
As the dogs were treed, we waded through waist deep snow across two canyons to get to it. We finally arrived at the tree and the dogs had treed this beautiful cat. @faith_adriana was with me every step of the way running the camera. I can’t wait to show you this hunt on @gracecamoandlace !

In what has felt like one of the most unsettling and heartbreaking months our country has experienced in some time, I’ve been especially grateful to spend most of September in the mountains. Not just because it’s a retreat from the noise of the world, but because it’s given me space to slow down, reflect, and focus on what truly matters.
For me, it has driven even greater motivation to cultivate gratitude, cherish family, and live each day with the intention of leaving a legacy that points others to Jesus. I’m thankful for the incredible blessing of our freedoms, freedoms that brave men and women continue to defend with unwavering dedication.
Even in the midst of sorrow and discouragement, I’m very encouraged by those finding hope in Christ and choosing to pursue a relationship with Him. And I’m thankful that, despite everything, we can still unplug, enjoy the outdoors, and share meaningful moments with the people we love.

Some of my earliest memories are hearing stories about my papaw and dad chasing elk in the mountains of Colorado with a bow in hand. My dad learned from my papaw, and I learned from him. It wasn’t just about harvesting an animal, it was about the time spent together, the lessons learned, and respect for the land we call home.
I remember the day I finally got to join them in those mountains. Elk season has become more than a hunt to me. It’s a reminder that I’m continuing something bigger than myself. A legacy. And every time I nock an arrow and breathe in that high country air, I feel connected to the generations before me.
