Affordable housing, social diversity, and ecological innovation | Residential Quarter Rote Emma, Vienna As part of this year’s @ato_wien festival, we will give insights into our extensive timber-hybrid residential development, which is among the first projects of its kind in Austria. Comprising 360 residential units in total, Rote Emma stands not only for sustainable construction, but also for a vibrant culture of community living. The range of services extends from the local Volkshochschule @vhs_wien to a kindergarten, as well as the initiatives @mo.point – mobility services and Verein LOK on building site 2. ROTE EMMA is not only a pioneer in large-scale timber-hybrid residential construction, but also stands for a vibrant culture of community living: The range of services extends from a kindergarten to the local adult education center @vhs_donaustadt , as well as initiatives such as @mo.point – mobility services, LOK (Verein LOK), and the ro*sa women’s housing project, a women-focused housing model comprising 44 units. A Construction Kit as Prototype | 4 x 4 The Wooden Pilot Modularity in architectural design and varied, diverse design do not have to be mutually exclusive. In the case of the wooden pilot and its prototypical building block principle, contemporary, innovative solutions to the idea of sustainability are met in addition to aesthetic and qualitative requirements. The developed construction kit allows for four-by-four-meter space modules to be so assembled as to establish, aside from flexibly structured residential units, urban-design settings of highly different scale: from single and multifamily homes (Naufahrtweg) to nature-embedded residential quarters (Orasteig) and to landmark starter-apartment complexes (Aspernstrasse). Timber construction on the home stretch. 🪵 Hitachi Columbus Campus | Mannheim (DE) With its transparent appearance, the all-timber office complex demonstrates that resource-saving construction, climate-neutral operation, and contemporary aesthetic need not at all be conflicting interests. The goal of the Hitachi Columbus Campus is climate-neutral building operation. It means that there is as much energy produced as is needed. The photovoltaic system generates electricity which can be used immediately or stored. The ventilation system is based on solar chimneys, a technology that has been proven in warm countries for centuries! Choosing a purely timber structure made from prefabricated elements required innovative solutions that meet current standards for structural timber construction. 🌾 An open field of possibilities | Residential Berresgasse, Vienna (AT) 🏗️ With a focus on subsidized housing and a developable floor space of 23 hectares, the area east of the recreational lake in Hirschstetten in Vienna’s 22nd district is considered as the next big urban development area in the city—a near-endless field of possibilities, in which AllesWirdGut, after winning a developers’ competition, were commissioned to plan 170 residential units with a total rentable floor space of well over 12,000 square meters. ⬆️ Shifting the mass of the built-up volume upward also entails a maximization of public areas: less built-up and more free space for everybody! Connecting the school forecourt to the western living street forms an active social hub. 2025 IID Awards Gold Winner – Mühltalhof 6.0 | AllesWirdGut ✨Happy to announce that our interior design project for @muehltalhof has been selected as a APR 2025 IID Awards Gold Winner in the Hospitality Interior category. A place that makes both people and water go slow is home to a true jewel of a retreat for culinary hedonists: the Mühltalhof hotel and restaurant. The wish of one of the best chefs in the country (Philip Rachinger) to upgrade and expand the kitchen of the sixth-generation hospitality business prompted the renewed architectural expression of a family success story: AllesWirdGut reinterprets Mühltalhof 6.0 as a collage of individual, finely tuned, and self-consistent spaces and situations that together form a coherent whole. 🌾 Grown Variety | Rural Residential Estate, Pixendorf (AT) The world is a village, as they say—or, to put it another way, Pixendorf is a contemporary interpretation of a diverse world. This residential area with 308 units, kindergarten, and commercial units is modeled on the example of existing village center and, as a contemporary reinterpretation, brings forth new variety. 🔀 Permeable and open for future extensions, the complex is on par with the old center, expanding the infrastructure it offers and opening up possibilities of mutual exchange. With photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, and resource-saving brick construction, the neighborhood upholds the principle of sustainability and combines village structures with modern forms of living: 🤝 Block buildings with apartments alternate with atrium houses, communal open spaces, and versatile typologies create neighborhoods with a sense of community. The typical village square as a meeting place strengthens social cohesion, as do roof terraces with urban gardening.
